Research and Outcomes Demonstration
The surgeons of Virginia Surgery Associates (VSA) are committed to excellence, providing the highest quality patient care and medical advancements. Recognizing the importance of research and clinical trials, VSA surgeons collaborate with cancer researchers from George Mason University, George Washington University, and Lombardi Cancer Center in translational research, cancer prevention /control outreach projects.
Guided by their commitment to excellence, Virginia Surgery Associates also participates in the national outcomes demonstration projects conducted by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and the National Surgeon Quality Improvement Project.
Additionally, the surgeons are committed to future medical providers by actively participating in their education. VSA’s surgeons deliver many presentation to medical staff in addition to their work teaching medical students, Physician Assistant students, and surgical and family practice residents at Inova Faifax Hospital as well as the medical office setting. The surgeon’s commitment extends beyond the medical community as they regularly speak to community groups on a variety of medical/surgical topics.
